Get to know our consultants! Second up is Chloe, who heads up our Sales & Marketing desk.

Who are you and what do you cover?
My Name is Chloe and I Head up the Sales & Marketing desk here at Fram. Working with my colleague Emily, we cover roles at all levels of experience from graduates through to Directors/Head of.

What types of clients do you work with?
We have a diverse candidate database and our recruitment process enables us to source candidates from a variety of backgrounds, but to do date we’ve worked with Asset Managers, Tax Efficient providers, Platforms, Discretionary Fund Managers, Asset Finance providers, Mortgage Brokers & Building societies and FX firms. We have a number of long standing relationships, but we are keen to work with a variety of financial services companies, and believe our process allows us to do this.

How do you add value to clients?
We are a specialist boutique with a strong industry focus; this means we understand our client’s markets, and have the ability to screen candidates appropriately according to their requirements. We always go for a quality over quantity approach (we really try and listen to their needs) and actively build our database with candidates who are relevant to our business. We aim to provide clients with a strong pre-screen shortlist offering real choice.

What about candidates?
We want to create a more personalised service with candidates than the industry is known for, and will always meet them where possible. This includes informal chats, where they may or may not be looking. We always look to act in our candidates’ best interest, giving them a genuine advice about their career, and giving CV advice where we can. Our candidates are hugely important to us, and we understand the decision to change roles has a direct impact on their lifestyles. We aim to consult and give advice throughout the process.

How long have you been with Fram?
Is too long an acceptable answer? No, joking aside, it has been three and a half years. It was my first role since graduating from university, and I haven’t looked back. My background was outside Financial Services, and I enjoy learning new things, something which certainly happens every day at Fram.

Chloe runs the half marathonWhat do you enjoy about working at Fram?
I think it’s the diversity in the role. In recruitment, we are always in a state of change, and my own professional development continues alongside this. Every year I look back and can see how far I’ve progressed. More importantly than this, though, is our culture, we have a really supportive and vibrant team who keep you feeling sane! Without the team, I think the role would be that bit harder. We have a competitive environment in the best possible way – no dog eat dog environment here!

What do you do outside work?
I enjoy boxing a lot, so I attend regular classes (and it’s not boxercise!). I have also run a few half marathons. I’m hesitant to say I enjoy running, but I certainly love the feeling of achievement when it’s finished! Outside of sports, I love to go out for dinner and buy things for my new home.

The question we can’t ignore, what are your clients saying about Brexit?
Honestly, not much. I haven’t heard much chatter about how it can affect them yet, as I’m not sure they really know how it’s going to affect them. That being said, I have heard of some back offices relocating to Europe. The distribution arms of firms can’t afford for things to stop.
