Our client is a long-established boutique corporate finance house, advising listed companies across a range of sectors on transactions spanning mergers and acquisitions, capital markets activity, and restructuring. The work is genuinely varied and intellectually demanding, and the firm operates with a fully office-based model, which meant the cultural dimension of the hire was as important as the technical one.
They needed an Associate with the intellectual horsepower to operate across complex mandates, but equally someone who could integrate into a close-knit team. In a small firm, a poor cultural fit is felt quickly and acutely. Getting it right mattered.
